Sheridan Nurseries recently had the opportunity to hire Dave Howlett as our guest speaker at our annual management clinic. We had researched various presenters and topics looking for an engaging speaker with relevant subject matter that our staff could relate to and apply to both their business and personal lives. Dave Howlett presenting his "Leading Like a Real Human Being" program did just that. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear philosophy was easy to understand and to implement.

The RHB presentation was different from the countless “motivational talks” I have heard in the past. These speakers try to lift people up and inspire them. Dave’s talk actually had the opposite effect. It grounded our managers with a simple yet powerful “3rd gear, do-the-right-thing philosophy” that they could digest, internalize and immediately take back to their employees, their families and even when driving on a highway! I would highly recommend RHB to any company looking for a down to earth, easy to understand approach to engaging employees and enabling them to better appreciate how fortunate we all are and how we can go from a philosophy of "me to we" or even better, "me to everyone else".
